FUNDAMENTALS LEVEL:

Yoga 101 Fundamentals to Happiness: An 8-class introductory yoga series for those new to yoga or wanting a refresher course.  An excellent way to start your practice, this progressive course introduces basic yogic postures & philosophy and explores how to integrate your yoga practice into every aspect of your life.  Classes meet twice a week for four weeks and are best attended as a complete series.

Basics: A beginning yoga class that is suitable for new students or students who want a simpler practice.  Classes focus on the fundamentals, including posture, alignment, breath, and foundational yogic concepts.  Perfect for first time or continuing students.

Gentle Oasis: A slower paced, gentle class suitable for students with reduced mobility, recovering from injury, or simply wanting a more gentle practice.  A deeply relaxing & rejuvenating experience suitable for all levels of practice.

Yin Yoga: A more passive form of yoga.  It focuses on the ligaments, tendons and all the connective tissue of the lower back, hips, and thighs. Unlike the muscles, which stretch like rubber bands, the connective tissues stretch slowly and require gentleness and ease.  Therefore, Yin postures are held for as long as ten minutes at a time. This type of practice complements the muscle driven hatha forms of yoga which are widely practiced and is great for anyone who is athletically active, those who sit in chairs many hours each day, and those who wish to sit in meditation.  In short, it is great for everyone!

Svaroopa Yoga: Svaroopa® is a meditative style of Hatha yoga that uses familiar yoga poses to create deep openings in the muscles around the spine. As the deep-seated layers of tension in your body begin to unravel, you will experience many physical and emotional improvements, such as relief of back pain and shoulder and neck tension, improved digestion, a boost in the immune system, and an increased sense of well-being. Props are used in many poses to meet the tensions in the body, and to enable students to get into the precise alignments that will allow the release of the muscles. These Core Openings create healing and personal transformation, and help you discover svaroopa, the bliss of your own being.

Kripalu Yoga: Kripalu yoga grounds itself in moving with awareness of breath, and using this awareness as an initiation for a deeper spiritual connection. It does not follow a set sequence of poses and encourages the adaptation of poses to individual body types and needs.

ACTIVE LEVEL:

Intermediate Flow: Also known as vinyasa flow, this graceful, flowing practice combines movement with breath to build heat in the body, developing strength, flexibility, & stamina.  Intermediate classes are a perfect choice for those seeking a moderately vigorous practice.

Power: A vigorous & challenging series of poses linked in flow with the breath.  An amazing workout.

Hot Power: Similar to Power done in a heated environment!  Get ready to sweat!

Sunday Advanced Practice with Phi: Offered on the first Sunday of each month, 2pm-4:30pm, Phi guides you into a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy and weaving philosophy into experiential reality.  Each session includes enhanced pranayama practice, posture flow, yoga nidra & sitting meditation. Be prepared to expand your mind, open your heart, and change your life!  Investment: $30 pre-registered or $35 day of.  (first session tba)
